Re: animal skin
Sun, November 14, 2004 - 12:12 PMJoel...I incorporated some faux "skins" in mine. I think if it is a piece of fur that was already around...not something you went out and killed I think most people wouldn't have an issue...but that's my thought.....I know I have animal rights friends who will wear vintage furs and leather but not the "new" stuff.....

Mon, November 15, 2004 - 2:48 PMHey Joel
I think it depends on how YOU feel about it. Dose it creep you out? Dose it add to the piece in a way nothing else will? Are you worried people will jdge your art negativly if dosen't have a "no anamals harmed" tag? Make the work so strong that the fur is the last thing people notice.

Re: animal skin
Tue, November 16, 2004 - 2:04 PMIt also depends on how our curators feel about it. If it would "creep them out" to have to handle it, I'm too grateful for their initiative with these projects, and too desireous of their continuing to be motivated to do this, to want to do something that bothers them. -

Fri, November 26, 2004 - 8:36 AMI'm so tired of being beaten up for art that I create, that I found a way around it. I'm using a feather. -
