hmmm direct mail-art. I see. Otherwise I also had an idea of popsicle sticks or stir sticks. Cause there are hundreds of them at starbucks... Hey maybe you can somehow mail the "the way I see it." Envelopes they have to each other by whiting out the address? You know where you write stuff? Just have art on the inside. Shit couldn't we just start doing diptycs and moistening the edge inside an envelope and have the address and return and stamp on the outside? <Contemplates direct-mail> I might just do it to see if its possible. And who said you have to pay for postcards? Just nab them from a movie theatre or coffee house. THere are tons of them. We can all modify postcards we find. I already have a good stock of them. Kinda like mini movie posters.

the price of postcards doesn't change until they are over 4 x 6 inches i think- so standard is from 3 x 5 to 4 x 6 i believe- this last set i did was front and back- the address sort of part of the design in a sense... it was fun! i can get 20 more together- but i have to finish up 3 projects first... do you have a theme in mind jasmine or should we work in the realm of our own work right now?

yes it would be the commited few who would follow through with 20 things I made the students in my class do a trade within the class, they had to make 30 things it was a big challenge.

yeah i was thinking of making a size restriction on the 20 s trade to keep the price down. also maybe people could do a process thats easily reproduced...silk screen, block prints, photography, computer art, or copy machine copies. as far as themes thats open to discussion ...any ideas

I haven't got your art attack yet, Faern. Mail sometimes takes more than a week to get across the country. Excitedly waiting... I would like to make something small. i sent out the books that people requested...the last few yesterday. I have not got any returns yet...still waiting. anyone have any new mail art ideas? i was thinking of doing a trade like they do in twentythings were everyone makes 20 things and then you get one from everyone any thoughts?
